Indoor Water Fountain - Installation

All FountainCrafters.com fountains come with an installation instructions to guide you step-by-step through the process of getting your fountain from the box to functioning in your home or office. Many of the guides even include pictures making installation a cinche.

Tabletop & Floor Fountains
Our tabletop and floor fountains do not require any installation; simple assembly is all that is required to get your fountain up and running.

Wall Fountains
Since wall fountains are bigger, heavier and generally require more than two hands, most wall fountain installations require two people. Fountains from FountainCrafters.com do not require any plumbing construction work. Because of this, our fountains require very little energy to install. The biggest part of installation for our wall fountains is fastening the wall brackets. However if you would like to do a little extra for the best aesthetic look, it is recommended that you install a GFI electrical outlet in the wall directly behind where the fountain will be placed prior to installing the fountain. An electrician in your area can also be hired to do this for you. This extra step will eliminate unattractive hanging cords. If you choose to install an electrical outlet behind the stone, we recommend wiring it to a wall switch that will enable you to easily turn your fountain on and off without having to reach behind the stone to pull out the plug.

An additional option, if you do not want an electrical outlet installed, is to place a plant or other décor strategically to disguise it. Furthermore, some of our fountains come with a cord cover.

Our wall fountains can be installed on almost any type of wall. Heavy, more substantial wall fountains must be mounted into studs, wood, or metal. These are included in your shipment. We discourage any attempts to hang heavy wall fountains from sheet rock or plaster. Please follow the instructions that are included with each of our fountains to guide you through the specific process required by your purchased fountain.

FountainCrafters.com is unable to offer installation service at this time. Most of our fountains do not require professional installation and can be easily set up by the consumer. However, if you have ordered a large wall fountain and need assistance in the installation process, you can hire a contractor in your area to install the fountain for you.
