Purchasing an Indoor Water Fountain - Feng Shui
Feng Shui (pronounced fung-shway) is an ancient Chinese practice that focuses
on how arrangement affects humans spiritually, emotionally and physically.
It centers on creating harmony through placing and arrange a space according
to techniques that assist positive energy, or Ch’i, in flowing. Feng
Shui has been a tradition followed for millennia that has just recently gained
in popularity among Western cultures. Now people far and wide are utilizing
the art and applying it in their own homes, offices and beyond. Feng Shui
literally translates in “wind-water”, so it is no surprise that
indoor fountains have become one of the staple home improvements in countless
homes that aim to increase the Ch’i flow.
There are five principle elements in the Feng Shui philosophy: metal,
wood, fire, wind, earth and water.
Fire: Many of our fountains come with lighting features that provide
a natural, warm glow to accentuate the fountain and follow the feng shui guidelines.
To further introduce the element into your home, candles or incense burning
is a stylish option.
Earth: Our fountains are fashioned from materials found in nature.
Further purchase of any kind of clay or ceramic objects – pots, bricks,
tiles, figurines, will contribute addition positive Ch’i to a room.
Metal: Try one of our fountains that feature stainless steel or
copper. More of the metal element can be introduced through wind chimes.
Wood: Any kind of wooden objects such as furniture, wood trim in
your home or wood floors all complement the wood element.
Water: Flowing water, as opposed to stagnant water, increases the
positive Ch’i of any room. Indoor water fountains are the absolute ideal
solution for introducing this element into your feng shui decorating scheme.
Wind: This element puts the Feng in Feng Shui, literally (Feng Shui
translates into “Wind-Water”). As mentioned earlier in this guide
indoor water fountains, which act as active water features, have been proven
to increase the level of negative ions in the air of a space. These negative
ions improve the quality of the air and produce positive effects on living
creatures both physically and psychologically.
